On Thursday 14 July, Moxie headed to the stunning home of long-time Moxie regular Zool Digital, in the heart of the Alderley Edge countryside at what was once the famous ICI/Astra Zeneca location. We were welcomed to the restaurant, in a rather idyllic lakeside setting, surrounded by ducks and geese and lush green trees. Not too shabby a place to work at all!
Moxie were warmly welcomed to Gusto Cheadle Hulme by Business Development Manager Ella Meho on Thursday. Although open a good few years now, Gusto still looks new, fresh and smart – and Ella and her team still have more good ideas to keep it that way. Watch that space…
After a couple of morning Mingles, it was a refreshing change to have an early evening event, at Bramhall’s newest cool bar and eatery, Public Market, on the site of the old Beluga – but totally new and different. The general consensus was that Public Market is rather fabulous with comments such as ‘wow, it’s ACE in here…’ heard more than once!
Moxie headed to the currently closed-to-mere-mortals Bramall Hall for the first Moxie Mingle of 2016, where we were greeted by Alison Farthing, of Stockport Council’s Museum Services who is heading the far-reaching, £2million Restore Bramall Hall project, and who was able to give us a fascinating insight into progress and timescales.
Moxie’s Jingle Mingle
Lianne Williams, Sales and Events Manager at Grosvenor Casino, welcomed everyone with a glass of bubbles and showed us to our very own private room. With an earlier start than normal, Moxie’s minglers had the place buzzing by 4.30pm and singer Alan Burton entertained us all with a mix of old classics and Christmas tunes…much to the surprise of Moxie’s photographer Chelsea Shoesmith who was so busy taking photos she thought it was a CD playing – so huge praise for Alan!
Tasty Networking at Chilli Banana
The last few weeks has seen Bramhall buzzing with news of the latest in Thai street food, Chilli Banana, opening its doors in the heart of the village.
As ever, we were keen to get in on the act, as it appears were many local businesses. With Chilli Banana’s reputation preceding itself, Wednesday’s Moxie Mingle was one of the busiest events of the year with 35 attendees packing out the pint-sized restaurant – a mix of regular and new Minglers all eager to network and taste the authentic Thai food that’s got everyone talking.
Moxie Helps to Ease The Spine
Written by Shari Royle
I was totally unaware that such an Aladdin’s cave of appliances, treatments, scans and ways to ease one’s feet and spine were available so locally with such helpful informative staff.
The Bubble Room’s relaxed yet sophisticated style is the perfect setting for a Moxie-Mingle.
