An evening of food, fun and shopping…with a “real model” catwalk show hosted by Imagine FM’s Chellce AJ!
Moxie is committed to showcasing what is sitting on our doorstep! Inspired by the driving force behind Moxie, Wendy Green, and Better Together Events, Debbie Rainford, Moxie Market was the product of their pooled contacts to bring leading North West independants together for a fun, festive evening.
Staged at Cheadle Hulme School, Moxie Market was your chance to get into the festive spirit early…with a wide range of independent traders at the artisan marketplace to sell everything from crafts and clothes to regionally sourced food and drink.
Food, live music, a shopping experience culminating in a spectacular collaborative catwalk show hosted by Imagine FM’s Chellce AJ with “real models”, both men and women.
Project managed by Sue Day of Modiste Designs in Bramhall, models showcased pieces from Modiste, SOS and Celebrity Closet, with Ryan Jake in Bramhall doing the models hair. In addition, there was a chance to win prizes with the charity raffle, all in aid of local charities, Francis House and The Joshua Short Foundation.
As we head towards Christmas, Wendy Green celebrated a year of phenomenal networking at her last Moxie Morning of the year. This morning’s event was buzzing with networkers catching up, making new contacts and sharing business ideas.
Not only was it the last event of the year…but it marked the last Moxie Morning hosted by Lisa Mather who owns Modo Cucine.

Businesses from South Manchester were “all in” at Moxie’s latest networking event last night at Grosvenor Casino in Didsbury. Keen to not only make contacts and exchange business, everyone let their hair down, rolled up their sleeves and took a gamble under the careful leadership of Grosvenor Casino’s croupiers.
What a thoroughly enjoyable event, I loved the competitive nature of us all sitting together at the gambling tables. Glad it wasn’t our own money though! Well done Wendy….yet again another networking event with a difference! What I love about Moxie’s events are no two are ever the same – and I know I’m always in for a fun night out.

Wendy Green said: “What a night….my normal evening of civilised conversation escalated into shrieks of delight as people won thousands…pity, or maybe a relief, that it was plastic discs, not hard cash! Thanks to Jonasz for looking after us and Mark’s from Take That Photography for capturing many moments of sheer fun!”
Local businesses filled Modo Cucine in Bramhall at Moxie’s breakfast networking event this week. As well as Moxie’s regular networkers, there were just as many new faces, bringing in new business connections.
“The key to Wendy’s success” said Lisa Mather who owns Modo Cucine where the events are held, “is her ability to reach new audiences through her social media outreach; Wendy offers guests profile both before and after meetings through twitter and facebook. It’s always a delight to welcome Moxie Minglers into my showroom, and see business exchanged whilst guests are having fun!”

The Pointing Dog in Cheadle Hulme certainly proved to be the perfect spot for Moxie’s latest event. Living up to its reputation of an exclusive and accessible venue…Moxie Minglers enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere, staying well beyond the event’s advertised finishing time.
Moxie Minglers set the scene for networking with a difference – and if you’re about forming relationships, not just swapping business cards…then Moxie is for you!
“In business, everybody prefers to work with people they like….it‘s human nature,” says Mark Gough of Take That Photography. “I’ve just started capturing Moxie on camera and it is great to experience just how much fun they are – which combined with networking is always a plus!”
“This was my first Moxie Mingle event and Wendy was really welcoming, which meant that I quickly felt at ease. She and Rachel ensured that the atmosphere was informal and full of life: no boring corners allowed, so loads of great conversations and laughter. It is easy for networking events to become repetitive and pressured, but there was an unusually interesting mix of people so the conversation wasn’t just about business, but also about finding common interests and sharing encouragement amongst some impressive entrepreneurs. The whole event was well organised with fantastic canapés supplied by The Pointing Dog – and great food is always a brilliant ice breaker! I look forward to the next event, and to following the inspiring stories of business success of the many people whom I met.”

Moxie’s Mingle brought people through Gusto’s door … situated on Didsbury’s main thoroughfare in this leafy suburb of Manchester.
Great venue, great company, great atmosphere….last night felt more like an evening out amongst friends than a networking event! Conversation flowed, people discovered how they could work together…and business was exchanged!
“In my business as a photographer I get an insight into how people tick, and can spot if people are genuinely enjoying themselves or clock-watching…and last night’s Moxie event was simply a delight to capture on film! The event was lively and everyone was clearly having a great time, informally passing on business to each other. I think one of the unique things that separate Moxie from other networking events, is that it felt like a social as much as a business opportunity….and that was evident from behind the camera!”
